PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

These AIDS/HIV courses will give students a varying degree of information on AIDS and HIV awareness. Students will be given up to date and factual information provided by the A.M.A and other governing bodies as mandated by the State of Florida.

         

PROGRAM OBJECTIVE

This Course is designed to give each student their required hours for each Program they chose. The AIDS/HIV Course requirements are different for every program:

AIDS & HIV Nail Specialist                          4 Hours

AIDS & HIV Facial Specialist                      4 Hours

AIDS & HIV Full Specialist                          4 Hours

AIDS & HIV Cosmetology                           4 Hours

AIDS & HIV Shampoo Specialist                 4 Hours

AIDS & HIV Barber Specialist                     4 Hours

AIDS & HIV Micropigmentation                   4 Hours
COURSE INFORMATION


Date: The school operates on an open entry, open exit basis.

Duration: According each requirements course

Classes I: Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to  5:30 pm

Classes 2: Monday to Friday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION


This program is designed to prepare students for a career in Massage Therapy. Students in this program develop the Skills necessary to perform professional services in Massage Therapy including sanitation & safety, preparation for massage, manipulations and techniques, draping, effleurage, petrissage, friction and tapotement. Special populations, professional ethics, legal issues, scientific effects and benefits and therapeutic procedures are also studied in detail.

       
         

PROGRAM OBJECTIVE

Upon completion of the Massage Therapy program, graduates will be prepared to sit for the National Certification offered by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Graduates that pass this examination as part of the Florida licensing requirements will be eligible for licensure as a Massage Therapist (LMT) in the state of Florida. Graduates can then be eligible for entry-level employment in Spas, Message Salons, Chiropractic offices, or can become self employed as a Licensed Massage Therapist.
